Welcome to the KVCR Online Auction.

It's simple and fun!

Auction

Our mission is to harness the power of public broadcasting for the common good, you can now buy items to support programs and services that help make your community a better place to live.

How it works

Throughout the course of the event, listeners will be directed to an online auction site to bid on a catalog of goods, services and experiences provided by local and regional businesses, attractions and service providers. The event will be promoted extensively via on-air and off-air methods by all partner stations. It is a win-win-win situation: stations raise vital money to help pay for program services, listeners get to take advantage of great opportunities, and businesses receive extensive exposure both locally and outside of their traditional radio market.

Bid high, bid often, and enjoy some guilt-free shopping!

Donation Information

How to participate

There are several ways both businesses and individuals can donate to KVCR's Auction!

Put together a package of goods and/or services. Any item(s) or service(s) you wish to donate, whether gift certificates, products, services, gift baskets, or a monetary donation will add immensely to the success of our auction.

Popular categories and sample items include:

  • Food & Wine (gift cards & certificates, gift boxes)
  • Retail (gift cards & certificates, gift boxes)
  • Travel & Getaways (Hotel packages, wine country tours, spa stays, bed and breakfast packages, tickets to local attractions)
  • One-of-a-Kind Items & Experiences (behind-the-scene tours, celebrity meet-and-greets, collectible memorabilia)

You will receive a tax deduction (KVCR is a 501(c)(3) corporation and therefore your donation may be deducted to the full extent of the law).

Packages valued at $2,500 or more will be included on the auction's "Featured Items" page throughout the length of the event.

If you have any further questions or would like additional information please contact Laura Lanier (909) 384-8599 or email llanier@kvcr.org

How you benefit

Unlike other online auction sites this is not a "clearing house" type of event. Due to the charitable nature of the auction site, many items sell for their full value or higher. Your brand value remains intact.

Each donated item will receive a dedicated page that includes the item's description and picture, your company logo and an active link to your website, with an estimated value of $1000.

As an event participant, your business will receive invaluable exposure to almost 1.5 million listeners in Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington: listeners who are college educated professionals and homeowners, most of whom have an annual income of $75,000 or more.

Promotional Value

On-Air: the event will be promoted hourly on each station throughout the 10-day event, with a total estimated on-air promotional value in excess of $1 million.

Web: Web-wise, the online auction site is projected to receive in excess of 2.6 million page views by more than 82,000 people. This event is an outstanding "viral" marketing tool. Bidders spread the word to friends and family, so the potential audience is far beyond just those people listening! (Through the online auction host, Bidding for Good, last year's auction saw visitors from 43 countries around the globe.)

Email: The auction will also be promoted via station e-mail blasts to a combined e-mail list in excess of 80,000.
